If you love huge, over-the-top burgers, you’re probably no stranger to Steak ‘n Shake. Every few months, in this weird food blog world we inhabit, someone will post a takedown of the infamous Steak ‘n Shake 7×7 burger. For those not waging a continued war on their cardiovascular systems, that’s seven of the chain’s premium “Steakburgers,” and seven slices of cheese. The results are usually hard to watch.

Starting today, though, the chain adds three new “Xtreme” options to their summer lineup, with the introduction of the Bacon ‘n Cheese Triple Xtreme Steakburger, the Kit Kat milkshake, and the Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake. From the press release:

“We are introducing new burgers topped with ultra-premium bacon that is unmatched in the marketplace,” said Jim Flaniken, Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Steak ‘n Shake. “We dedicated the past year to source the highest quality bacon. So if you like bacon, you will love all our bacon Steakburgers, especially the new Bacon ‘n Cheese Triple Xtreme Steakburger.”

Here are the details:

Boasting three hand-crafted Steakburger patties, two slices of Steak ‘n Shake’s new, thick-sliced American cheese, and NINE half-slices of thick-cut hardwood-smoked bacon, Steak ‘n Shake’s new Bacon ‘n Cheese Triple Xtreme Steakburger may not help you to land a totally sick frontside 180 varial heelflip, but it should keep you from getting hungry for the rest of the day, and possibly the rest of your life.

Steak ‘n Shake will also offer two other sizes of this monster burger: the Bacon ‘n Cheese Double Steakburger served with fries for $4.99, and the Bacon ‘n Cheese Single Steakburger served with fries for $3.99.

Thirsty for a huge cup of melted ice cream, to wash down that Bacon ‘n Cheese Triple Xtreme Steakburger? Steak ‘n Shake has you covered there, as well, with two new milkshakes. The “Kit Kat Milkshake” comes hot on the heels of Burger King’s mostly positively reviewed Froot Loops Shake, and ratchets the indulgence up to 11. Steak ‘n Shake’s milkshake starts with a hand-scooped base, and then grinds in a huge handful of Kit Kat candy wafers, before topping the whole situation with whipped cream and a cherry.

Candy mix-ins not your thing? Steak ‘n Shake is also unveiling a “Strawberry Cheesecake” milkshake, with real strawberries and cheesecake pieces blasted right in.

Steak ‘n Shake’s summer menu items are available now and for a limited time, at a Steak ‘n’ Shake location near you.
