Confirmed: Burger King is Putting Cereal in Milkshakes

Fast food giant adds fruit-flavored cereal to vanilla soft serve. Insane profits follow.

After literally days of fevered speculation on the internet’s top junk food blogs, it appears that the rumors are finally proving to be true: Fast food giant Burger King is rolling out a new Froot Loops milkshake for a limited time, beginning April 17th.

Made with a base of vanilla soft serve, Burger King then adds Froot Loops cereal, and a special “sweet sauce” whose ingredients are unclear, but which sounds as though it will definitely make your teeth itch. 

The collaboration marks just another in a long line of Burger King’s unlikely and uncalled for brand collaborations, including a partnership with beverage and snack giant PepsiCo last year, to develop “Mac n’ Cheetos.” The snack mashup combined bite-sized macaroni and cheese, covered with crunchy Cheetos dust. The reviews weren’t kind, and the product was shelved within weeks of its debut. 

Anxious to get your mitts on this potentially delicious new breakfast-dessert hybrid? Froot Loops Shakes will be sold at Burger King restaurants nationwide for $2.99.
